Guidance and Counselling at Beerwah State High School
The Guidance Counsellor at Beerwah State High School is John Fanton. John has been working in the Guidance and Counselling field since 1992. He is based full time at the school and is available to meet with students and families 5 days a week. Appointments to see John may be made through the Administration Office. The Guidance Counsellor is a member of the Student Services Team and works closely with the members of this team to best support students.
Guidance Counsellors (also known as Guidance Officers) are teachers with specialist training and additional qualifications in guidance and counselling. Areas in which they work may involve: Educational Matters, Personal Counselling and Issues, Career Guidance and Counselling.

Undergraduate Medicine and Dentistry Courses provides a list of courses available in Australia and New Zealand with internet links to universities and further information. For some of these courses students may be required to undertake additional testing, for example, the UMAT (Undergraduate Medicine and Health Sciences Admission Test).
