Our Dress Code

To achieve our school goals there must be expectations and standards maintained with regard to uniform and personal presentation. Students attending Beerwah High School are required to wear the correct school uniform at school, including excursions and sport and while going to and from school.

The Parents’ and Citizens’ Association of Beerwah State High School and the School Council of Beerwah State High School have resolved that they support a student dress code for Beerwah State High School because they believe that a student dress code at Beerwah State High School promotes objectives of the Education (General Provisions) Bill 2006.

In particular the Parents’ and Citizens’ Association of Beerwah State High School and the School Council of Beerwah State High School support the intention of a student dress code in providing a safe and supportive teaching and learning environment by:

• ready identification of students and non-students at school;
• eliminating distraction of competition in dress and fashion at school;
• fostering a sense of belonging; and
• developing mutual respect among students through minimising visible evidence of economic or social differences.
