On behalf of the students, staff and parents of Beerwah High School, welcome to our school website. Since opening in 1992, Beerwah State High School has built a reputation as a safe, caring and supportive school and is recognised across the Sunshine Coast as a leader in secondary schooling. Beerwah High is a place where students achieve excellent outcomes. All aspects of school life and school culture reflect our motto “Success for All” and our vision and values underpin all aspects of school life. Our programs ensure that we cater for all students’ needs.
Our school is one that looks to the future and focuses on meeting the changing needs of a changing society, while satisfying the individual needs that students have now as maturing young adults and citizens. We have high expectations and strive for high standards.
Beerwah High offers a broad general education in our middle school during Years 8 and 9, leading into the multiple pathways provided for in our senior school through Years 10, 11 and 12. Comprehensive academic, vocational, artistic and sporting programs are provided. A specialist Athletics Excellence Program and specialist Music Excellence Program are both available in Year 8, 9 and 10.
Beerwah State High School is also proud to be a member of the Glass House Coalition of State Schools. This partnership of seven local schools has developed a common curriculum framework that provides for a seamless learning journey from Year 1 to Year 12. In 2004, the Coalition was awarded a State Showcase Award for Excellence in the Middle Phase of Learning. Schooling. We have achieved statewide recognition for middle schooling and national recognition for the quality of our senior vocational education curriculum.In 2006, Beerwah State High School was again recognized for the quality of our senior schooling being a finalist in the 2006 Queensland Training Awards and a finalist in the 2006 Queensland Showcase Awards for Excellence.
