Beerwah SHS is always open for guest presentations, talking to host employers about work experience placements, traineeship or apprenticeship opportunities for our current students. Have you heard of the local band Mary Valley? If you haven’t yet there’s every chance you will in the future. Mary Valley is an independent pop outfit, comprised of the Mohan sisters. Guitarist, Maya, graduated from Beerwah High in 2011 and vocalist, Vivi, in 2014.
It’s clear that the talent, hard work and determination that both girls demonstrated as students here has continued. The girls’ single Blue-Haired Girl has had a lot of airplay on triple j Unearthed, reaching number 6 on the pop charts and number 4 overall in November 2020!
