Junior Secondary Curriculum
Students in Year 7 and 8 at Beerwah State High School are provided with a common program that provides for study of English, mathematics, science, history, languages other than English (Spanish), Health and Physical Education, The Arts, Digital and Design Technology.
In Year 9, students study a core program of English, Mathematics, Science, history, geography and Health and Physical Education. This is supplemented by an optional program of electives subjects.
Literacy and Numeracy is embedded in all subjects across the Junior Secondary curriculum.
Students have access to an online reading program, which caters to the individual reading skill levels of the student.
The school aims to develop respect, responsibility and safety as core values within our students to produce productive lifelong learners.
