Beerwah Dance Company Application

1. ​Beerwah Dance Company (BDC) is a performance team that will compete and perform at eisteddfods and other events (Financial eligibility to cover these costs is a necessity).
   

2. You must be​ studying 'Dance' as a subject if you want to be in BDC.
   

3. If the subject is not offered in your year level in 2026, then your performance skills need to be of an exceptional standard.

Applications must be in by end of of Term 3 2026.

Once you submit the online application, students must then attend ALL of our in-house auditions in the Beerwah State High School Performing Arts Centre:

• Monday 26^th October, 7-8:30am (jazz technique and combo)
• Tuesday 27^th October, 7-8:30am (lyrical technique and combo)
• Thursday 29^th October, 7-8:30am (technique and hip hop combo)

Please note all students should be enrolled for Year 7 2027 at the time of completing this application.

• Two (2) videos of your own choice demonstrating your technical and expressive skills in Dance. Both of your videos must demonstrate two distinct styles e.g. jazz and contemporary or hip hop and lyrical. If too large to e-mail, these videos must be filmed and stored on a USB, clearly labelled with your name and dropped into our school office for attention of Jess Rossberg. Please make sure that you also name the files using the following layout e.g. Student name_genre of dance_BDC audition 2027.
